Peter Heywood is a squash lover, an active squash player and a squash coach. Over the years, he’s fed his passion for squash not just on court, but as a club chairman, secretary, tournament organiser, marker and social events co-ordinator.
Now, with The Squash Life Blog, he’s expanding his role as a connector and a communicator, collecting, writing and telling stories to entertain and inspire other squash enthusiasts.
And he’s a survivor, having recovered from a heart attack to re-connect with his passion, qualify as a squash coach, and re-join what he calls his tribe. “Squash is not just about sport, or health or even fitness”, he says. “It’s about passion and identity. About being part of both a social network and a global community, whether you actually play the game or not. In fact, you don’t even need to know why you love squash. You just do.
As well as writing about squash, he’s a scientist and an innovator specialising in professional development. He’s also a member of England Squash and Racketball and the UK’s Association for Coaching. He lives near London within ten minutes’ walk of his squash club.

I forgot to remember how brilliant you are!
